Shout out to Shane and Casey !!

DH just admitted to me that he wasn't sure we'd ever get the old hardened mastic of off the tub floor after getting it ground in like it was after tiling.

I had already tried comet and a toothbrush to scrub it off to no avail.

I was secretly kinda worried myself, particularly because I used the uber-stickum mastic, too.

Shane and Casy (see blog link below) replied to a post we made (link to previous post) and recommended scrubbing bubbles.

And then we got the high *paw of approval* from our Himalayan, Lestat, and we went with it.

It basically dissolved the mastic. This is the best tip I've gotten so far on this, and I'm spreading the wealth. IT WORKS.

I sprayed it on the tub floor, left it for five minutes then used a hands held scrub brush.

It was gone in 2 minutes.

Thank you guys so much!!

Check out their BLOG!

While I'm at it, Julia over at Hooked on Houses is having another Blog Party. She's not a DIY site so much as more general home site with more of an eye toward style, but after we finish building, we gotta make it look good. Check her out too.

Wow, that stuff is a lot more powerful than I ever imagined! I never would've guessed that would work on something that hardened.

Thanks for joining the party! Always enjoy seeing what you guys are up to over here.

Thanks, Julia....Oh, and in case anyone didn't realize exactly how I'd been avoiding reality in regards to the mastic in the shower, the mastic has been ground in for at least six weeks. I know, I'm awful.

But Scrubbing Bubbles is magic. :-)

Hmmm... I really need to get some Scrubbing Bubbles and attack our bath tubs with it. :)

Hah, that photo is cute. I wasn't expecting a post dedicated to me, it was just a bathtub :)

We don't use anything but the bubbles for cleaning out bathroom. Habits are hard to break. I've been using the stuff since my mother would make us boys clean the bathroom every week with it as a kid.

I keep seeing couopons and deals for this stuff at Walgreens. Now I have more than one reason to try it.

...now watch, it'll never be on sale again- HAHAHAH
